Display Energy Certificates for
Public Buildings
Ensurv has been providing Display Energy Certificates (DEC’s)
for the public sector since the new legislation became
mandatory on 1st October 2008. Ensurv is accredited under
the Building Research Establishment (BRE) accreditation
scheme and has been actively doing DEC’s for large clients
throughout England and Scotland. In the first 6 months of
this new legislation being introduced, Ensurv has
successfully carried out approximately 50 DEC’s with
corresponding Advisory Reports (AR) for clients across the
UK and has a continually expanding number of requests not
only from the Public sector but also for large Private
businesses interested in improving their energy use and
demonstrating to the public their commitment to operating a
greener and fuel efficient business.
Ensurv’s services to the
provision of Display Energy Certificates are:
Individually
priced quotes for each property based on size and
complexity
A site survey and
inspection if requested along with energy record
interpretation
The provision of
the Display Energy Certificate, Advisory report (if
required) and a small report from Ensurv providing
any additional recommendations or improvements.
The option of
allowing Ensurv to externally manage your future
energy records in successive years as a means of
providing hassle free, renewed DEC’s annually.
Periodic
assessment of your energy use each quarter and
provide feedback on trends or surplus energy use
compared to previous years.

Non-domestic Energy Performance Certificates
Ensurv is soon expanding its
energy consultancy services to include the commercial sector
both private and public and is expecting to be providing
this service in March 2009.
